Award-winning multisport events organiser Durty Events has announced that it has joined forces with Triathlon Edinburgh to launch ‘Go Swim Loch Lomond’ – a day packed with open water swimming events around the beautiful Loch Lomond area. Set to take place on Saturday the 7th of September 2019, the event will be open to swimmers of all ages and levels of experience, with both family-friendly options (250m, 750m or 1500m) as well as options for the more experienced swimmer (3000m, 5000m and 10,000m).
The event was launched after fans of the ‘Great Scottish Swim’ were left disappointed when it was cancelled for 2019. Paul McGreal from Durty Events said that ‘We know thousands of people have enjoyed the previous races and the absence of a major swimming event this year was met with a great deal of sadness so we really wanted to create something that replicates that experience.”
Entry prices for Go Swim Loch Lomond start from £10. The event is supported and backed by the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority.
